I lead the SymbioticLab at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where we focus on network-informed data systems design for Big Data and AI applications. Our works span three operating regimes: single-microsecond latency within a rack, single-millisecond latency within a datacenter, and hundreds-of-milliseconds latency across the world. Our marquee projects include memory disaggregation, federated learning, and systems for AI/ML.
