We’re working on designing secure, efficient, and reliable networked systems. Our current directions fall into: a) Programmable In-network Security (Poise), where we’re rethinking how future networks should support security architecturally. b) Network support for data-intensive applications, which aims to optimize the interaction between data-processing tasks and the underlying network. c) In addition, we’re working to make large-scale systems more reliable, by designing diagnostic and repair primitives and by enhancing the reliability and security of OS kernels.
