Dr. Yung-Hsiang Lu’s research integrates computer vision, embedded systems, and cloud computing. His team investigates how to analyze large amounts of data (thousands of video streams) using edge devices and cloud. Dr. Lu is the lead organizer of the IEEE Low-Power Computer Vision Challenge (https://lpcv.ai/). The students in Dr. Lu’s team started two technology companies and raised more than $1.5M. Dr. Lu is a fellow of the IEEE and distinguished scientist of the ACM. He is the director of Purdue’s John Martinson Entrepreneurial Center.
